WHY I BECAME A MASSAGE THERAPIST

I started my journey working in Orthopedic medicine as a medical assistant. From there, I grew my knowledge on all sorts of soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries. I learned that many of these injuries could be greatly assisted by manual therapies such as physical therapy and massage therapy, so that is where my interest first peaked.

I met my fiance and his grandma had been a massage therapist for 30 years. She showed me what it was all about. Once I saw an actual treatment, and had a session of my own, I was sold. I knew this ancient form of healing was something I wanted to be able to bring to other people.

I graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College's Massage Therapy program. That program changed my life. To be able to help people with my hands and share this form of healing is such a privilege. Ever since I have started, I am so glad this path chose me!
